About BestBoob Australia

We are a team of mums passionate about supporting Australian families through their breastfeeding journey.

Our Story

BestBoob was born from the shared experiences of three Australian mothers who understood firsthand how overwhelming the breastfeeding journey can be. When our founder Sarah first became a mum in 2019, she spent countless hours researching breast pumps, nursing bras, and lactation support products—only to find fragmented information, American-centric advice, and product recommendations that were not available on Amazon Australia.

After connecting with Emma and Rebecca at a local mothers' group, they discovered they had all experienced the same frustrations. Emma, with her background in maternal health nursing, had valuable clinical knowledge about breastfeeding challenges. Rebecca, a registered nutritionist, understood the science behind lactation and milk supply. Together, they envisioned a resource that would combine evidence-based information with practical, real-world experience.

What started as a shared Google Doc of product recommendations for friends quickly grew into something bigger. We realised that Australian mothers deserved a dedicated resource that understood our healthcare system, our climate, and the specific products available to us. BestBoob Australia launched in early 2024 with a simple mission: to be the trusted friend every new mum needs during her breastfeeding journey.

Our Mission

To empower Australian families with honest, evidence-based breastfeeding information and product recommendations, so every mum can make confident decisions that work for her unique situation.

What We Believe

We believe that fed is best, and that every family's feeding journey is unique. Whether you breastfeed exclusively for two years, supplement with formula, or pump exclusively, your choices are valid. Our role is not to prescribe how you should feed your baby, but to provide the information and resources you need to make informed decisions.

We are committed to accuracy. Our content is researched thoroughly and aligned with guidelines from the Australian Breastfeeding Association, the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and the World Health Organization. When we recommend products, we base our selections on a combination of specifications, user reviews, and our own testing when possible.

We also believe in transparency. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases when you click our links. This allows us to maintain and improve our content at no extra cost to you. However, our editorial recommendations are never influenced by commission rates—we recommend products because we genuinely believe they will help you, not because they earn us more money.
